Airspace in components of the Northeast is closing for at the very least half-hour after flights had been paused at Newark Liberty Worldwide Airport in New Jersey and Philadelphia Worldwide Airport in Pennsylvania attributable to gear outages, in line with the Federal Aviation Administration.
FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford stated a circuit blew at a Philadelphia air visitors management facility on Monday morning, and when the backup system went into place, officers found the backup line had been reduce at a New Jersey development website.
With the intention to change the circuit in Philadelphia, the airspace within the Northeast is closing for at the very least half-hour, Bedford stated.
Some inbound flights have been diverted to different airports.
