New York Knicks head coach Mike Brown might have some alternative phrases prepared for whoever’s in control of NBC’s scorebug.
Brown was universally panned for not calling a timeout within the remaining seconds of Sport 2 of the Knicks’ first-round sequence towards the Atlanta Hawks. The Knicks misplaced the competition 107-106 after Mikal Bridges missed a possible game-winning shot at Madison Sq. Backyard.
New York went the size of the ground to get Bridges the shot following a missed free throw from Atlanta (video here). NBC clarified that the published scorebug had erroneously indicated the Knicks had a timeout through the remaining play of the sport.
“We simply need to say that the scoreboard confirmed a timeout that the Knicks didn’t have on the ultimate play,” Maria Taylor mentioned to open the halftime present of the Minnesota Timberwolves-Denver Nuggets Sport 2.
“Due to an information subject, the unsuitable timeout info was communicated. So, that’s why you see a timeout on the scorebug.”
