To the editor: Iranian Supreme Chief Ayatollah Ali Khamenei sends his troops into the streets to kill protesters his state media name “terrorists” (“Iran warns U.S. against strikes as activists say death toll in crackdown climbs to at least 538,” Jan. 11). President Trump sends his troops into our streets and so they kill dad and mom Renee Nicole Good and Silverio Villegas Gonzalez, and wound instructor Marimar Martinez.

Martinez is a U.S. citizen, and Good was as nicely. Villegas Gonzalez was an undocumented immigrant who had lived within the U.S. for nearly 20 years, fought for the promise of the American dream, paid his taxes and lived along with his girlfriend and two sons. However Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Homeland Safety Secretary Kristi Noem would have you ever imagine they’re “home terrorists,” as Noem labeled Good.

Russian President Vladimir Putin invades Ukraine and kills tens of thousands. Trump strikes Nigeria, captures a authorities chief in Venezuela, needs to take over Greenland and annex Canada and threatens Mexico.

When referred to as out on these parallels, Trump and his followers say, in impact, “Who do you imagine, me or your mendacity eyes?” I imagine my eyes. I don’t see any distinction between the supreme chief in Iran and the supreme chief within the White Home. I don’t see any distinction between dictators Putin and Nicolás Maduro and the wannabe dictator within the White Home.

To the editor: So let me see if I’ve received this proper.

It’s thought of OK by the Trump administration to arrest, hurt and even kill U.S. residents throughout protests — peaceable or in any other case. But when a international authorities applies those self same unlawful ways on its individuals, on this case the Iranian populace, it’s thought of a criminal offense in opposition to these residents and we’d be keen to make use of drive in opposition to that international authorities to cease it?

Look within the mirror. Think about using drive upon thyself?
