To the editor: Vice President JD Vance has crystalized the Republican 2026 marketing campaign message. The person who known as Donald Trump “cultural heroin,” then caught the needle in his personal arm, is asking Republican voters to do the identical.
Searching for a backside the Willie Horton ad by no means approached, a political advert has an opponent’s delivery mom calling her youngster a liar unfit for public workplace (“Ramaswamy takes responsibility for ad with Amy Acton’s mother and will spend millions to promote it,” Oct. 21). This advert is unconcerned with the truth that the mom hasn’t seen the kid because the state took her away, and that the mom sided with the stepfather charged with raping her youngster. The stepfather then allegedly fled the state to keep away from trial. Confronted with backlash over the advert, Vance reserves his disgust for Republicans who’re “whining” about it. “Whether or not the advert was acceptable or not isn’t actually my concern,” he said.
In a tragic approach, his exasperation is sensible. For a celebration that has accepted the administration’s bottomless graft and corruption, the killing of U.S. residents and Iranian schoolgirls, an alliance with Russian President Vladmir Putin, hostility towards Canada, demonization of dark-skinned immigrants and a justice system that pardons buddies and harasses opponents, why on Earth draw the road on the morality of an advert that seeks to level blame at a toddler rape sufferer when the governorship of Ohio is at stake? Honesty and decency are irrelevant; time to get with this system.

To the editor: Of all of the sleazy, nasty marketing campaign commercials we’re being subjected to, this one by Vivek Ramaswamy has to prime the listing. How dare he and his staff use statements by his opponent Amy Acton’s delivery mom, who was the truth is the reason for Acton’s unhappy childhood!
I can be donating to Acton’s marketing campaign till she wins.

To the editor: President Trump has degraded the ethical and moral setting of American politics a lot that Ramaswamy felt comfy in spending $4 million on a political advert exploiting his Democratic opponent’s childhood sexual abuse. The advert is despicable and will offend all People.
But, most Republican politicians have remained silent and, predictably, Trump and Vance have backed it as honest sport within the present cesspool that’s Trumpian politics.
