    MIAMI: Ukraine’s prime negotiator Rustem Umerov will on Thursday (Might 7) meet his US counterparts in Florida in a bid to revive principally frozen talks on ending Russia’s invasion, Kyiv and Washington mentioned.

    US-mediated talks on ending Europe’s worst battle since World Battle II have proven little progress since February, when Washington shifted focus to its battle towards Iran.

    “The Secretary of the Nationwide Safety and Defence Council of Ukraine will maintain a collection of conferences at this time with envoys of the President of the US,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on X, referring to Umerov.

    The White Home later confirmed Zelenskyy’s announcement, saying Umerov would meet with US officers in Miami.

    Umerov final met US particular envoy Steve Witkoff and US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner in Florida between March 21-22.

    The Thursday assembly will come simply days after the US introduced the approval of a comparatively uncommon sale of weaponry to Kyiv – a US$373.6 million deal for extended-range bomb kits and associated gear.
