ICE brokers arrested an unlawful alien from Montenegro who was a sworn police officer in Hanover Park, Illinois, on Thursday.
“Congratulations, Officer Bojovic! Be a part of us in congratulating Officer Bojovic, who graduated immediately (August 22, 2025) from the Suburban Regulation Enforcement Academy (SLEA),” the Hanover Police Division stated in a Facebook publish on August 22.
“He now begins an intensive 15 weeks of area coaching and analysis as he continues getting ready to serve the Hanover Park neighborhood,” they stated.
On Thursday, ICE Brokers arrested Bojovic.
Bojovic reportedly entered the US in 2015 and overstayed his visa.
“Unlawful aliens are prohibited from proudly owning or possessing firearms — full cease,” ICE Enforcement and Removing Operations Chicago Subject Workplace Director Sam Olson instructed RAV’s Ben Bergquam.
“That is the second recognized occasion in current months of an area police division hiring an unlawful alien and unlawfully issuing him a firearm whereas on responsibility in violation of federal regulation. It’s alarming how native jurisdictions proceed to ignore federal regulation to the detriment of their communities,” he added.
“Radule Bojovic violated our nation’s legal guidelines and was dwelling ILLEGALLY in the USA for 10 years—what sort of police division offers legal unlawful aliens badges and weapons? It’s a felony for aliens to even possess a firearm. A regulation enforcement officer who’s actively breaking the regulation,” stated DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin in an announcement to CNN Thursday.

That is the second time an unlawful alien employed as a police officer has been arrested by ICE brokers.
Over the summer season, ICE Brokers arrested a Jamaican unlawful alien who was truly employed as an officer for the Previous Orchard Police Division in Maine.
In line with Fox Information, the unlawful, Jon Luke Evans, tried to illegally buy a gun, which triggered an alert to the ATF.
Evans reportedly lawfully entered the US in September 2023, however overstayed his visa when he by no means left on his departure flight scheduled for October 1, 2023.
