To the editor: Am I the one one who sees an impending catastrophe if Los Angeles Worldwide Airport goes forward with its “roadway enchancment” plan (“LAX approved $1.5 billion to relieve traffic. Opponents say it won’t work,” Nov. 15)?
The horseshoe (the worst a part of LAX’s site visitors issues) won’t be improved. There are many educated individuals, a few of whom spoke for this text, who suppose that this plan won’t work. And maybe most significantly, the mission as proposed is scheduled to be accomplished a mere two months earlier than the Olympics. Simply have a look at the yet-to-be-completed Automated People Mover, which is over funds and manner overdue.
Additionally be aware that one of many main contractors on this proposed mission is identical firm that’s chargeable for the delayed Individuals Mover. This isn’t going to end up nicely.
