    North Korean chief Kim Jong Un watched a live-fire check of a number of rocket launch programs alongside his teenage daughter Saturday, because the regime escalates weapons demonstrations amid joint U.S.–South Korea navy workouts, state media reported.

    The Korean Central Information Company (KCNA) mentioned Kim oversaw a strike drill involving twelve 600mm ultra-precision a number of rocket launchers alongside North Korea’s east coast, in response to The Related Press.

    South Korea’s Nationwide Safety Council condemned the launches as a provocation and mentioned they violated United Nations Security Council resolutions that prohibit North Korea from conducting ballistic missile checks, The Related Press reported.

    Kim mentioned the drill was meant to exhibit the harmful functionality of the country’s tactical nuclear forces, in response to state media.

    “If this weapon is used, the opponent’s navy infrastructure inside its putting vary can by no means survive,” Kim mentioned.

    Images launched by state media confirmed Kim and his daughter — believed to be named Kim Ju Ae, about 13 or 14 years outdated — strolling close to launch vehicles, The Related Press reported.

    Kim’s daughter has appeared alongside him at quite a few navy occasions, missile checks and parades since late 2022, fueling hypothesis that he could also be positioning her as a future successor.
