    Denmark hails ‘binding’ Greenland deal with Trump

    Trump has repeatedly warned about Russia and China attempting to determine a foothold in Greenland as a strategic battle for supremacy in a warming Arctic unfolds, and the State Division left little doubt that they’d not be allowed to take action.

    “This settlement ensures that China and Russia can not have a base in Greenland, they can not ship troops to Greenland, and the required mechanisms are in place to forestall funding in delicate sectors,” a State Division official stated.
