    Officers from the town of Chicago, together with the transit authority, not too long ago made a giant to-do about placing up indicators in subway vehicles that say ‘violence won’t be tolerated.’

    New CTA marketing campaign goals to discourage violent crime on buses, trains

    The Prepare dinner County State’s Lawyer’s Workplace and the Chicago Transit Authority are launching a brand new public consciousness marketing campaign warning that prosecutors will search pretrial detention for folks accused of committing violent crimes on public transit.

    The initiative will place greater than 7,000 indicators on CTA buses and trains that say, “Violence on the CTA won’t be tolerated. The Prepare dinner County State’s Lawyer’s Workplace will prosecute and search pretrial detention for all violent offenses on public transit.”

    “With the intention to have a protected and thriving metropolis, we have to have a protected public transportation system,” Prepare dinner County State’s Lawyer Eileen O’Neill Burke stated in a press release.

    “The Prepare dinner County State’s Lawyer’s Workplace is dedicated to doing every thing we are able to to make our public transportation system the most secure within the nation. We’re placing up these indicators to indicate how severely we take these instances and to bolster the implications offenders will face for bringing violence onto the CTA.”

    CTA Appearing President Nora Leerhsen stated the marketing campaign is meant to reassure each riders and transit workers.
