    Twenty-five years after the fear assaults of Sept. 11, 2001, left a gaping void in Decrease Manhattan, American Specific broke floor Thursday on its new headquarters, a tiered glass and metal tower at 2 World Commerce Middle.

    New York Metropolis Mayor Zohran Mamdani mentioned the undertaking will create 3,200 jobs and inject $6 billion into town’s financial system.

    “We’re standing at this time on hallowed floor,” Mamdani mentioned. 

    “This has been an extended journey,” mentioned Lisa Silverstein of Silverstein Properties, the developer of the positioning since 2001. “That is the capstone for the World Commerce Middle.”
