Reviews that Dallas Cowboys large receiver George Pickens had agreed to sign his franchise tag have been untimely.

On Monday, ESPN’s Todd Archer reported Pickens has but to signal his tender (a totally assured one-year, $27.298M deal). ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter then mentioned the WR nonetheless plans to signal the contract and defined why the transaction has been delayed.

Adam Schefter explains why George Pickens hasn’t but signed his franchise tag

“I used to be advised it was draft weekend and signing the franchise tag wasn’t the very first thing on his thoughts,” he mentioned Monday throughout “The Pat McAfee Present.”

The Cowboys have simply concluded the 2026 NFL Draft, which was held in Pittsburgh. However how does that stop Pickens from signing the contract?
