    Vice President JD Vance mentioned Sunday that high-stakes talks between the U.S. and Iran ended with no deal after Iranian officers refused to simply accept American phrases.

    Iranian International Minister Abbas Araghchi and Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf had been negotiating for Iran. 

    Whereas Vance declined to elaborate on which phrases Iran rejected, he mentioned the U.S. sought assurances that Iran wouldn’t develop a nuclear weapon.

    “The straightforward reality is that we have to see an affirmative dedication that they won’t search a nuclear weapon, and they won’t search the instruments that may allow them to shortly obtain a nuclear weapon,” Vance mentioned. “That’s the core purpose of the president of america.
