    WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump on Saturday (Feb 22) urged billionaire Elon Musk to be extra aggressive in his efforts to shrink the federal government regardless of uproar over layoffs and deep spending cuts.

    “Elon is doing an excellent job, however I wish to see him get extra aggressive,” Trump posted all in uppercase letters on his Reality Social platform. “Bear in mind, we’ve got a rustic to avoid wasting, however finally, to make higher than ever earlier than. MAGA!”

    Musk’s Division of Authorities Effectivity, or DOGE – an entity created by Trump – has swept throughout federal authorities businesses, firing tens of 1000’s of federal authorities staff from scientists to park rangers, principally these on probation.
