    WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump mentioned on Monday (Dec 8) he had reached an settlement with Chinese language President Xi Jinping to allow US chip giant Nvidia to export superior synthetic intelligence chips to China.

    The announcement marks a major shift in US export coverage for superior AI chips, which Joe Biden’s administration had closely restricted over nationwide safety issues about Chinese language navy purposes.

    In a publish on his Reality Social platform, Trump mentioned he had knowledgeable Xi that Washington would allow Nvidia to ship its H200 merchandise to “accredited clients in China, and different international locations, underneath circumstances that permit for continued sturdy Nationwide Safety”.
