    Trump says UK king’s visit ‘absolutely’ may repair ties: BBC

    LONDON: US President Donald Trump informed the BBC Thursday (Apr 23) that British King Charles III’s upcoming state visit to the United States may “completely” assist rebuild strained ties between the 2 nations.

    Charles heads to the US on Monday for a four-day journey, with transatlantic tensions over the Iran battle and scandals linked to the late US intercourse offender Jeffrey Epstein threatening to intrude on the landmark go to.

    Requested by the BBC whether or not Charles’s go to may assist restore the connection between the US and UK, Trump informed the BBC: “Completely. He is implausible. He is a implausible man. 
Completely the reply is sure.”

    Charles can be making his first state go to to the US as a monarch, on the request of the UK authorities and Trump. He’ll journey to the US with Queen Camilla after which go to Bermuda alone.

    Trump has harshly criticised British Prime Minister Keir Starmer for not becoming a member of the US-Israeli battle on Iran, launched on Feb 28.

    The president commented in his telephone interview with the BBC on the navy response of US allies together with Britain, saying “they need to have been there”, whereas including: “I did not want them, clearly.”

    Starmer has been mired in a political scandal over appointing Labour grandee Peter Mandelson, a recognized affiliate of Epstein, as UK ambassador to Washington.

    Trump informed the BBC that Starmer may solely “get well” from the setback if the prime minister “opened the North Sea” to extend oil and fuel extraction and “his immigration insurance policies turned robust”.

    “But when he would not, I do not suppose he has an opportunity,” the US chief added.
