WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump stated he’ll meet New York Metropolis Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani on the White Home on Friday (Nov 19) in what can be the primary assembly of the Republican chief with the democratic socialist who won this month’s mayoral election.
Mamdani and Trump have been crucial of one another, with Trump having backed Mamdani’s opponent, Andrew Cuomo.
Mamdani, for his half, has been crucial of the Trump administration’s insurance policies, together with its crackdown on immigration and on protests towards US assist for Israel through the Gaza struggle.
“We’ve agreed that this assembly will happen on the Oval Workplace on Friday, November twenty first,” Trump stated on social media on Wednesday.
