    Thousands turn out for anti-racism rally after Belfast unrest

    BELFAST: Hundreds of individuals on Saturday (Jun 13) gathered for an anti-racism rally within the Northern Irish metropolis of Belfast after unrest sparked by a horrific stabbing.

    Protesters carried placards with slogans reminiscent of “Hate is the one risk to our streets” and “Belfast stands towards racism”.

    Town noticed two nights of dysfunction after video of Monday night time’s knife assault – which confirmed a person straddling one other mendacity on the street, slashing him with a knife – went viral throughout social media platforms.

    Native councillor Seamas de Faoite of the SDLP, the principle Northern Irish nationalist occasion, stated individuals had turned out to point out that they had been “appalled” on the “racist violence.

    He stated organisations throughout the town had been working tirelessly to rehome individuals who had been now “too frightened” to return to their properties.
