    An Alvarado, Texas police officer was shot and wounded within the neck late Friday night time in an obvious ambush assault by an armed group exterior the ICE Prairieland Detention Middle in Alvarado, positioned simply south of Dallas-Fort Value.

    On Friday, July 4, 2025 round 10:56 p.m., the Alvarado Police Division was dispatched to the 1200 block of Sunflower Lane in reference to a suspicious individual.

    Officers responded to the scene and noticed a suspicious individual that seemed to be carrying a firearm. As the primary responding officer tried to interact the individual, a number of suspects opened hearth on the Officer.

    The Officer was struck within the neck by a minimum of one bullet. The officer was flown to Harris Methodist Hospital Ft. Value, was handled, and launched.
