    Swedish group reports Amazon over childlike sex doll sales

    STOCKHOLM: A Swedish youngster rights organisation mentioned on Monday (Nov 10) it had filed a police report in opposition to Amazon and two different e-commerce platforms over the sale of intercourse dolls with a childlike look.

    Controversy has swirled over the sale of childlike intercourse dolls, with Chinese language digital platform Shein recently banning them from sale after France threatened to ban the retailer from the country over them.

    The Swedish organisation ChildX mentioned it had filed a police report in opposition to Amazon, together with all of its numerous nationwide websites, in addition to two different websites promoting the dolls in Sweden.

    ChildX instructed AFP it didn’t wish to identify the 2 smaller websites publicly in order to not direct site visitors there, however one was based mostly in Sweden and the opposite in China.

    Swedish laws prohibits materials that portrays kids in a sexualised method, and ChildX mentioned the sale of the dolls might fall foul of kid sexual exploitation legal guidelines.

    It mentioned the sale of such merchandise on international marketplaces dangers normalising sexual abuse of youngsters and growing demand for exploitative materials.

    “We do not need these websites to be allowed to exist in Sweden as a result of they normalise abuse of youngsters, and that may result in extra precise abuse of youngsters,” ChildX secretary basic Ida Ostensson instructed AFP.

    She urged the Swedish authorities to assessment how police may be tasked with updating and increasing a blacklist of kid porn web sites “to incorporate extra sorts of web sites that promote or allow abuse in opposition to kids.”
