SOUTH AFRICA‘S SPAT WITH WHITE HOUSE

The US takes over the rotating G20 presidency after Johannesburg, however South Africa rejected a US proposal to ship an embassy official for the handover in Trump’s place as a breach of protocol.

The White House has accused Ramaphosa of refusing to facilitate a clean transition of the G20 presidency.

“We now have not but acquired any formal communication at this stage,” South Africa‘s International Minister Ronald Lamola advised media on Sunday. “However we stay open … It is as much as them.”

He counted it an excellent success that the declaration acknowledged the necessity for local weather finance for growing nations.

Apart from the shock settlement on the declaration, world leaders used the G20 to discuss the Russia-Ukraine conflict and Trump’s plan to finish it, on the sidelines, the primary of a number of conferences anticipated over the approaching days.
