    CAIRO: Egypt is not going to take part within the displacement of Palestinians, an “act of injustice” that will threaten Egyptian safety, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi mentioned on Wednesday (Jan 29) in his first public response to US President Donald Trump’s call for Cairo to soak up residents of the Gaza Strip.

    Talking at a press convention with visiting Kenyan President William Ruto, Sisi mentioned Egypt would work with Trump to achieve peace between Israel and Palestinians based on a two-state solution.

    “Concerning what’s being mentioned in regards to the displacement of Palestinians, it might probably by no means be tolerated or allowed due to its impression on Egyptian nationwide safety,” Sisi mentioned.

    “The deportation or displacement of the Palestinian individuals is an injustice through which we can not take part.”

    Trump mentioned on Saturday that Egypt and Jordan ought to soak up Palestinians from Gaza, which he referred to as a “demolition web site” following 15 months of Israeli bombardment that made most of its 2.3 million individuals homeless.

    Sisi mentioned that if he requested the Egyptian individuals on Trump’s suggestion, they’d take to the streets to reject the displacement of Palestinians.
