Longtime Sen. Dick Durbin, D-In poor health., announced Wednesday that he is not going to search reelection in 2026 and can retire after serving for over 4 many years in Congress.
“In my coronary heart, I do know it is time to cross the torch,” Durbin mentioned within the video. “The threats to our democracy and lifestyle are actual, and I can guarantee you that I’ll do every part in my energy to struggle for Illinois and the way forward for our nation daily of my remaining time within the Senate.”
