To the editor: If the Democrats want a blueprint on the right way to get everybody within the celebration onboard for the following midterm and presidential elections, they should take a web page out of the Republicans’ playbook (“News Analysis: ‘The party is in shambles.’ But some Democrats see reasons for optimism,” Aug. 31). The Heritage Basis, a right-wing suppose tank with ties to members of the Trump administration, spent years creating Venture 2025. After all, President Trump stated he knew little or no about it previous to being reelected, though his insurance policies have intently aligned with its objectives to reshape the federal authorities.
The Democrats want their very own Venture 2029, and they need to begin by specializing in two issues. First is undoing all of the president’s government orders and, the place potential, codifying the options into regulation, assuming they will regain the bulk in Congress sooner or later. Then they should give attention to the right way to create legal guidelines as guardrails towards all of the norm-busting actions that the president was in a position to have interaction in.
This could convey all Democrats, and hopefully different extra average voters, collectively behind one single aim: to return this nation to a degree the place elected officers work for everybody and never simply those that voted them into workplace. I believe we’d all wish to get up every single day and never have to attend and marvel in regards to the subsequent evil, and/or borderline unlawful, motion the federal authorities is taking towards us, our buddies and our neighbors.

To the editor: Appears like precisely what Democrats have been operating on for years now: “Trump unhealthy” is the totality of the message. There are not any apologies for all of the errors and unhealthy habits (allegedly hiding then-President Biden’s well being decline, anointing Kamala Harris because the non-primaried candidate to lastly exchange him, mishandling of COVID, standing by “gender-affirming care” for youngsters, and so forth.) and particularly the indeniable mismanagement of blue states and cities like California and Los Angeles. Democrats want a serious rethink and new commonsense insurance policies.
This critique is from a lifelong Democrat who won’t vote Democrat once more till one thing extra clever than “Trump unhealthy” is introduced. Are elected Democrats able to frequent sense? I see no indicators of it but.

To the editor: What’s the choice (“Letters to the Editor: If Democratic leaders want support, they need to take action on Gaza,” Aug. 27)? Voting for a 3rd time period of Trump (not completely exterior the realm of chance, with the way in which issues are going)? Voting for Vice President JD Vance? Feeling caught between a rock and a tough place? I actually am.
Whereas ready for a viable different, what can we do besides vote for the present batch of Democrats? They usually know we’ve got few different choices.
