To the editor: I write from the relative security of Perth, Western Australia, the place it’s summer season and we’re in our personal hearth season. To the editor: As I sit and watch the footage of the horrible wildfires, my coronary heart breaks for owners, residents and the emergency firefighters coping with nature’s wrath.
We too are absolutely conscious of the affect of fireside on the group. Our state is essentially the most ravaged by hearth in Australia.
To all these affected by the fires — and they’re going to affect the entire group — please know that we on the opposite aspect of the world grieve for you and your loss. Search assist and kindness wherever you’ll find it.
