To the editor: We have to make L.A.’s streets safer for everybody. More people die from visitors collisions within the metropolis than from gun violence or different murder.
The bike lane venture on Forest Garden Drive will likely be a win for all who use it (“Bass hit brakes on new bike lanes near Forest Lawn. Raman is now slamming her for it,” Aug. 21). The present bike lane just isn’t huge sufficient to comfortably experience amid automobile visitors and navigate particles within the highway. There are quite a few cracks and holes within the highway which can be overdue for restore. Venture security enhancements may also shield road distributors promoting flowers to cemetery guests.
I thank Metropolis Councilmember Nithya Raman for her efforts to make Forest Garden a safer road for all, and name on Mayor Karen Bass to help the venture as properly.

To the editor: This stretch of Forest Garden Drive wants pace cameras. There will likely be numerous tickets issued and fewer speeders. In any other case, go away the highway alone.
