To the editor: Every time I see images of Pacific Coast Freeway, I’ve to marvel why the state is permitting rebuilding in that space (“L.A. has never experienced loss on this scale. Measuring progress six months after the fires is hard and painful,” July 10). Properties are at risk of landslides and want partitions constructed to carry again the ocean. We all know one other pure catastrophe will happen someday, and we can pay for it in human lives and tax {dollars}.
I can consider three higher makes use of of the land. Most significantly, give Californians a bit extra seashore. Subsequent, present extra parking and make PCH safer. The shoreline belongs to all of us.
