To the editor: One wonders, if water is such a scarce commodity right here in Southern California, then why are politicians pushing for higher-density housing and extra of it (“Californians are paying some of the highest water bills in the country,” Oct. 7)? It looks like including extra water sources must be a foundational requirement for constructing extra housing.
Maybe some forward-looking politicians will dump the bullet practice to nowhere and as a substitute make investments that cash in a water pipeline from Northern California to Southern California. Higher but, begin in search of water desalination plant websites on the Pacific coast.
