To the editor: That is an fascinating story coming the day after President Trump unveiled the $400-million luxurious jet he allowed a overseas nation to “behest” to him (“Behested payments aren’t illegal, but they are a problem. Especially for Newsom,” June 20). So what’s Qatar getting out of this?

Then there may be the taxpayer cash Trump used to improve the airplane. Wouldn’t the investigative powers of the federal authorities be higher directed towards this example?

    ..

To the editor: In discussing his “flying White Home at a degree of luxurious that no person has ever seen earlier than,” Trump inadvertently described his whole presidency when he mentioned, “See, a standard president wouldn’t do that” (“President Trump unveils the new Air Force One, a converted Qatari jet,” June 19). Certainly, that must be the tagline for all the pieces he has executed and, tragically for the nation and world, will proceed to do until the co-equal branches of presidency finish — or no less than sluggish — his megalomania.
