To the editor: A buddy of mine has lived in her residence within the Miracle Mile neighborhood for over 50 years. In the future, she received a letter from a lawyer stating that his shopper tripped on the sidewalk in entrance of her home and was suing her for the accidents he sustained. She employed a contractor to restore the sidewalk and was assured that no allow was wanted. Then she received a ticket from the town for repairing the sidewalk with no allow! This can be a no-win state of affairs.
