One scholar was killed and two others have been wounded in a stabbing exterior their Southern California highschool, authorities stated.
The scholars have been attacked in entrance of Santa Ana Excessive Faculty at about 3:25 p.m. Wednesday, shortly after dismissal, in line with faculty officers and police in Santa Ana, which is about 30 miles southeast of Los Angeles.
When the victims have been taken to hospitals, one was in crucial situation and two have been in steady situation, police stated. The scholar in crucial situation later died, police stated.
The assault seemed to be gang-related, Santa Ana police spokesperson Natalie Garcia informed reporters.
Police are looking for the 2 unidentified suspects, Garcia stated. It is not clear if the suspects attend Santa Ana Excessive Faculty or one other faculty, she stated.
“Our ideas are with the household of the coed who handed, and with all these impacted by this mindless act of violence,” the Santa Ana Unified Faculty District stated in an announcement.
“Out of an abundance of warning, there will likely be an elevated presence of Santa Ana Faculty Police on and round Santa Ana HS on Thursday,” the district added.
