To the editor: President Trump, talking about Iran: “We will’t let a rustic blackmail or extort the world as a result of that’s what they’re doing” (“Trump says U.S. military has blockaded Iranian ports to pressure Tehran,” April 13).

Trump both gained’t admit to or acknowledge the blatant hypocrisy of his assertion. Since no less than the start of his second time period, Trump has been blackmailing and extorting the world, each allies and adversaries, by way of his tariffs and different insurance policies, to an extent by no means earlier than seen from an American president.

As we’ve witnessed, Trump has one set of morals and ethics for everybody else, and a second customary for himself. Trump’s immorality and “decision-making” has been a catastrophe for the USA and the world.

His battle with Iran is simply the most recent instance of his incompetence.
