Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has stated that the nation would not be an “area for anybody’s wars”, and that the ceasefire with Israel ought to result in work on everlasting agreements.

Israel continues to occupy areas of southern Lebanon regardless of the truce, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu saying troops wouldn’t withdraw in the course of the ceasefire.
