    Kyle Busch hospitalized with severe illness, won’t race at Charlotte

    Kyle Busch will not race within the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Sequence or NASCAR Cup Sequence races at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend after being hospitalized with sickness. 

    “Kyle has skilled a extreme sickness leading to hospitalization,” a statement posted to Busch’s X account read. “He’s presently present process remedy and won’t compete in any of his scheduled actions this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. We ask for understanding and privateness as our household navigates this case.”

    Busch was scheduled to drive the No. 7 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports in Friday’s Truck Race and the No. 8 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing, the latter of which is his full-time journey within the Cup Sequence. 

    Austin Hill, who drives for RCR within the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Elements Sequence, will step in and drive the No. 8 RCR Chevy in Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600.
