To the editor: We’ve a peace take care of Iran (“U.S. and Iran agree to peace deal, Pakistan says,” June 14)? There are a lot of questions as to what occurs subsequent.

Each President Trump and Iran are claiming victory. What would represent victory for the U.S.? Would it not be the tens of billions of dollars the struggle has already value, the lack of U.S. personnel life and the variety of wounded, the depletion of U.S. weapons inventory or the large discount within the U.S. strategic oil reserves? What concerning the toll on our personnel and ships stationed for months round Iran, the harm inflicted by Iran on U.S. belongings in Mideast nations, the upper value of fuel for the American individuals and the fee for the costly defensive munitions? Did we help the Iranian individuals as promised? Has Iran agreed to cease supporting Hezbollah, the Houthis and Hamas?

So what did we get for all that it has value us? We bought nothing apart from an settlement to speak and fleetingly hoping for the perfect. A lot for the declare of victory.

    Sid Pelston, Marina del Rey

    ..

To the editor: This settlement is basic Donald Trump. He screws one thing up, then returns it to nearly the way it was earlier than he turned concerned, claims victory and acts like he’s the best president of all time.

Properly, what about all of the individuals who had been killed (3,468 in Iran, together with 13 U.S. service members) and the cash we now have spent, in addition to depleting our missiles whereas Iran nonetheless has its 972 pounds of enriched uranium?

    Matthew D. Kerster, Gardena

    ..

To the editor: It’s not more than the deal Barack Obama made with Iran 10 years in the past, besides that Obama didn’t kill any Iranians, lose the lives of American troopers and waste billions of {dollars}.
