Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who led Tehran’s negotiating crew in peace talks with the U.S., advised the Iranian parliament on Tuesday that the Strait of Hormuz will stay closed till the U.S. accepts Tehran’s calls for.
“The Strait of Hormuz won’t open till the blockade is lifted, frozen belongings are launched, the oil embargo is lifted and threats and army operations on all fronts finish, in addition to different phrases of the memorandum,” Ghalibaf mentioned, as quoted by the semi-official Mehr Information Company.
Ghalibaf was referring to the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the combatants in June, which has to this point failed to provide a full peace settlement.
