To the editor: One other instance of America’s hypocrisy — countless speak in regards to the significance of household and kids is contradicted by our insurance policies. We fail to supply for our kids all throughout the board: underfunded faculties, child-care cutbacks, healthcare denials. We abandon working households and improve the chance of poverty.
Don’t inform me UCLA can’t afford its child-care facilities (“Blow to Westside child care: UCLA to close infant and toddler centers charging $3,000 a month,” Aug. 17), If it might probably’t, then a radical evaluation is required over how the varsity funds its extravagant sports activities applications and high-end salaries for top-tier administration.
