BEIRUT: Hezbollah stated on Friday (Jun 12) that its fighters had confronted Israeli forces advancing in direction of a southern Lebanese city, as Israel pressed on with its strikes in Lebanon.
In an announcement, Hezbollah stated its fighters first focused Israeli troops advancing in direction of Majdal Zoun, round 5 kilometres (three miles) from the western facet of the border, on Thursday night “with repeated rocket barrages, forcing them to retreat”.
It then stated it engaged with an advancing pressure there on Friday “partaking them with gentle and medium weapons and rockets”.
The group additionally claimed different assaults on Israeli troops in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli navy in the meantime issued an evacuation warning for 3 southern Lebanese villages.
