An explosion and gunfire have been reported in Pakistan’s business capital, Karachi.
The blast befell on Saturday close to a gate resulting in the places of work of a paramilitary drive generally known as the Rangers, sources instructed Al Jazeera.
Pakistani media stated the highway is close to a number of universities and Pakistan’s meteorological division.
Pakistan’s Daybreak information reported that particular items, together with the Speedy Response Pressure and police commandos, had been dispatched to the scene.
It added that the world has been cordoned off by police and paramilitary personnel.
Clashes are reportedly underway, sources instructed Al Jazeera.
