    To the editor: The pseudonymous author Peachy Keenan imagines that if conservatives like her had been in charge of California for the previous half-century:

    • They might have magically modified the legal guidelines of physics so that every one hearth hydrants would have loads of water beneath all circumstances;
    • They might have magically stopped the extended durations of drought that create dangerously dry circumstances;
    • And they’d have magically prevented insanely sturdy, dry Santa Ana winds from quickly spreading fires.

    And poor, persecuted Keenan wonders why MAGA will get no respect.

    William Yarchin, Huntington Seashore

    ..

    To the editor: Let’s wager as as to whether these in authority will maintain accountable those that dropped the ball in failing to organize for the fires attributable to the Santa Ana wins that had been positive to come back.

    Not one can be fired, I wager.

    By the way in which: Nice article by Keenan.

    Jim Kennedy, Smyrna, Tenn.

    ..

    To the editor: I’ve been a loyal Instances reader since 1973. Nevertheless, after studying the article by Keenan, I’ve to ask the query: Why would you print one thing that belongs on the “Mothers For Liberty” internet web page and never the pages of the L.A. Instances?

    After 52 years, I anticipate higher. Thanks.

    Robert Deniz, Chino
