Particulars have surfaced on what led to this week’s sudden firing of Gabe Alvarez.
The Detroit Tigers introduced abruptly on Tuesday that that they had fired Alvarez, the supervisor of their Triple-A affiliate, the Toledo Mud Hens. Particulars have been initially scarce, apart from the Tigers noting that Alvarez had been terminated for an undisclosed violation of club policy.
