    BEIJING: China warned the US on Thursday (Mar 26) towards bringing “battle and the chaos of warfare” to the Asia-Pacific, after Washington and its allies mentioned they’d weigh constructing a weapons base within the Philippines.

    A US-led intergovernmental defence group agreed final week to evaluate funding for a brand new ammunition meeting and manufacturing line within the Philippines, in response to a joint assertion.

    The choice was made by the 16 members of the Partnership for Indo-Pacific Industrial Resilience (PIPIR), which additionally contains Britain, Australia, Japan, South Korea and the Philippines.
