Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken was in no rush to call a beginning quarterback within the spring.
He had Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders break up first-team reps at OTAs and thru the primary 9 days of coaching camp.
Now, it seems to be like one thing has modified. On a day when Sanders was purported to deal with the majority of the reps, and proper after Monken instructed the media that will be the case, Watson acquired the nod.
In response to ESPN insider Daniel Oyefusi, Sanders needed to accept a handful of second-team reps as a substitute.
Deshaun Watson may be the Browns’ QB1
“Day 10 of Browns coaching camp is over. On a day when Shedeur Sanders was scheduled to observe with the beginning offense, Deshaun Watson took each rep with the No. 1 unit,” Oyefusi shared on X. “Sanders break up the remaining reps with Dillon Gabriel.”
