    Bondi Beach shooting: PM Wong expresses condolences, says Singapore condemns act of terrorism

    SINGAPORE: Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has written to his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese to precise his condolences over the lethal shooting at Bondi Beach.

    Gunmen killed 11 individuals on the iconic Sydney seashore throughout a Jewish occasion to mark the beginning of Hanukkah.

    Australian police have categorised the incident as a terrorist assault. One of many alleged shooters was killed, and the second was in a crucial situation, Australian police stated.

    Mr Wong stated he was deeply saddened to study of the tragic incident.

    “This mindless violence struck a spot cherished by Australians and guests alike, together with many Singaporeans,” he wrote.

    “Singapore strongly condemns this act of terrorism. Such acts don’t have any place in our societies, and undermine the peace and safety all of us cherish.”

    Expressing his condolences to the households who’ve misplaced family members within the taking pictures, Mr Wong stated: “At this painful and tough time, Singapore stands firmly with Australia in solidarity and assist.”
