    Australian police say father-son duo allegedly behind Sydney mass shooting

    SYDNEY: Australian police mentioned on Monday (Dec 15) that the alleged offenders behind the attack at Sydney’s Bondi beach are a father and son duo, and that they weren’t searching for a 3rd offender.

    Police mentioned throughout a media briefing that investigations confirmed solely two offenders had been chargeable for the assault at a Jewish vacation celebration that killed 16 individuals and injured 40.

    One of many gunmen suspected of capturing and killing 15 individuals at a Jewish competition on Sydney’s iconic Bondi Seaside has been named in native media as a person from town’s southeast.

    The alleged assailant was 24-year-old Naveed Akram from the Sydney suburb of Bonnyrigg, Australian public broadcaster ABC mentioned, quoting an official talking on situation of anonymity.

    Police have raided the person’s house, the broadcaster and different native media reported.

    “The 50-year-old is deceased. The 24-year-old is presently in hospital,” New South Wales police commissioner Mal Lanyon advised a information convention. “I can say that we’re not searching for an additional offender,” he mentioned.
