To the editor: The power of nature that was Dolly Parton will all the time be remembered for her monumental expertise (“Dolly Parton, country music legend who became a national treasure, dies at 80,” Aug. 25). However her best present to the world was her endearing and candy nature, her generosity of spirit and her down-to-earth methods of creating individuals really feel included and welcomed. Kindness lately appears to be a uncommon commodity, sorely missing and in brief provide.
Parton was there to remind us simply how easy it’s to attach on a human degree, together with her real smile and her genuine love for everybody. She taught by instance easy methods to deal with individuals with respect and dignity. Go it on — we’d like it now greater than ever. That’s her most enduring legacy and it should not be squandered. We are able to solely have a good time that she graced this world with love.

To the editor: In 1989, I walked down the aisle to my seat on a flight from Los Angeles to New York Metropolis. Arriving at my row, a lot to my shock, I noticed Dolly Parton sitting within the window seat subsequent to my aisle seat. She gave me an enormous smile and candy greeting. We spoke at size on the flight.
On the time, I used to be between boyfriends. After I informed her this, she mentioned, “Oh, sweetie, we gotta get you a person!” What a kind-hearted, pleasant girl. The world is much less together with her passing.
