    RIGA, Latvia: A French navy Rafale fighter jet shot down a drone on Monday (Jun 8) that entered NATO nation Latvia’s airspace from Russia, the newest in a series of such security incidents alongside Europe’s jap border areas.

    The Latvian military, with out saying who had launched the drone, stated it had entered from Russia “on account of Russian electromagnetic warfare”.

    “Allied fighter jets efficiently shoot down a drone flying into Latvian airspace!” it stated in a publish on social media X.

    Authorities had earlier on Monday warned individuals in jap Latvian areas to hunt shelter indoors due to the menace. The alert ended when the drone was shot down, the military stated, however one other air menace warning was issued in a while Monday for jap residents.
