To the editor: Contributing author Jon Duffy’s latest op-ed may need talked about the plain reply: President Trump isn’t happy with chaos and demise in Venezuela and Iran and wishes one other weakling to beat up (“Why Trump is manufacturing a new crisis in Cuba,” Could 30). There’s clearly no risk to the U.S. from Cuba, simply as there was no risk from both of Trump’s earlier victims, and similar to there isn’t a justification for a White Home ballroom or ornamental arch monstrosity desecrating the dignity of the ultimate resting place of 1000’s of U.S. veterans.

Sufficient is sufficient. Republican congressional management must do its job and put an finish to this insanity.

    Eric Carey, Arlington, Va.

    ..

To the editor: Duffy attracts People’ consideration to the struggling of the Cuban individuals for no strategic nationwide protection motive that might profit the U.S. For months now, Trump’s sanctions have contributed to the immense shortages of electrical energy to people who find themselves not a risk to us. The shortage of gasoline has induced individuals to endure in hospitals, haven’t any transportation to work and haven’t any approach to cool themselves.

Congress and we, the American individuals, must demand a cease to this inhumane motion.

Sarah E. Adams, Rancho Palos Verdes
