    Israel issues new evacuation warnings in south Lebanon beyond occupied area

    JERUSALEM: Israel’s army on Sunday (Could 3) issued new evacuation warnings in southern Lebanon for villages past the realm it occupies, regardless of a truce with Lebanon meant to halt preventing with Iran-backed Hezbollah.

    “On your security, you should evacuate your houses instantly and transfer away from the villages and cities by no less than 1,000 metres into open areas,” the army’s Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee posted on X.

    The warning covers greater than 10 villages and cities, together with a number of within the district of Nabatieh, which lies north of the Litani River, south of which Israel has stationed troops.

    Lebanon’s state-run Nationwide Information Company later reported a sequence of Israeli strikes throughout southern Lebanon, together with on cities not talked about within the evacuation warning.

    Since Apr 17, a fragile ceasefire has been in place between Israel and Lebanon, which was geared toward pausing the violence between the Hezbollah militant group and Israel’s army.

    On Wednesday, Israel’s army chief of employees Eyal Zamir had threatened to strike Hezbollah “past the yellow line”, which marks the realm of Israeli management.
