    Updated odds shows why NFL needs Most Improved Player category

    The newest odds for NFL Comeback Participant of the Yr (CPOY) have revealed a flaw within the award.

    Per Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold not too long ago overtook Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow because the betting favourite for CPOY honors.

    In keeping with odds provided by FanDuel, Darnold (-125) is a slight favourite over Burrow (-110) getting into Week 18.

    The Bengals (8-8) play on Saturday night (8 p.m. ET, ABC and ESPN) in opposition to the Steelers (10-6), and a loss will remove them from playoff rivalry.

    As Florio famous, whether or not the Bengals make the playoffs or not might affect voters’ decision-making, although it should not.

    “If [Burrow] would not make the playoffs and if Darnold delivers the Vikings the No. 1 seed within the NFC… perhaps it will likely be Darnold,” Florio wrote.
